As a professional photographer and sometimes model, I’ve worked with a lot of makeup artists. I met Liz in the latter capacity and was totally blown away by her work. Liz was able to create something striking while still keeping it fresh, young and very natural looking. Liz made my skin look flawless. I admired Liz’s work so much that I got in touch after the shoot to set up a makeup lesson. I feel like I’ve always done a pretty good job with my makeup, but the tricks and insight Liz provided changed the way I did my makeup, and totally for the better. From the first makeup application to the lesson and shopping trip, I had a truly fabulous experience!

I have struggled with severe rosacea, psoriasis, broken capillaries, and sensitive yet oily skin for years, so I spent a great deal of time researching makeup options. From my first email with Liz, I knew she was the perfect makeup artist for me. Not only did she respond extremely quickly and professionally, she actually took the time to clearly address every single question I had. When Liz was done, I had the flawless skin of a model in a magazine, yet I felt as if I had just put on some lotion. I never wanted to wash it off! After a very bad makeup trial with someone else, I had given up and decided to do my own makeup. My photographer, though, strongly recommended Liz and I am so glad I gave her a try. Liz’s makeup is flawless, she is a natural at putting everyone around her at ease and she really listens to her clients. I was married during the July heat wave – outside – and my makeup was flawless the entire day! Me & my bridesmaids aren’t normally makeup people & were nervous about looking too ‘done’ but the makeup looked natural and each of us were incredibly pleased with our look. I would recommend her to anyone!

Liz helped me feel happy, frisky, and even BEAUTIFUL in front of that scary camera. I was full of weird anxieties (‘I don’t want to look too made-up!’) and I am absolutely overjoyed with the result. I’ll probably be using these headshots for the next ten years … at which point I will go straight back to Liz and [photographer] Lesley!

Liz Washer was amazing! She was so great to work with. Not only did my makeup look amazing, but it lasted all night long (even after shedding quite a few tears…) Liz was accommodating, knowledgeable and extremely professional. She had a great attitude and really set me at ease. I would recommend Liz Washer to anyone in need of a makeup artist for a wedding or a special event, she is absolutely the best!
